
Grain & Glow Studio was born out of necessity—and a love for creating.
We’re Kendra and Mandy, best friends and co-owners of Sparkle & Float, an event décor company based in Southwest Missouri. As we grew our business, we struggled to find high-quality backdrops and wooden pieces that matched our vision—so we stopped searching and started building our own.
At the core of Grain & Glow Studio is Kendra’s craftsmanship. Every single piece is designed, cut, and built by hand—no mass production, no outsourcing, no compromises. What began as a solution for our own events quickly became a go-to for event planners and balloon artists who need pieces that not only look good, but actually perform.
We’re a woman-owned and operated business in a space where that still stands out—and we’re proud of it. We build with intention, with grit, and with a deep understanding of what it takes to execute at a high level.

Kendra is the creative mind and maker behind the magic at Grain & Glow Studio. With a natural talent for woodworking – and many other creative pursuits – and an eye for clean, functional design, she brings each piece to life from the ground up. What started as a need for building custom backdrops for client events quickly turned into a true craft; one rooted in quality, durability, and thoughtful details. Kendra approaches every build with the end user in mind, creating pieces that not only look beautiful but work seamlessly for event professionals in real-world setups.

Mandy is the strategist and marketing mind behind Grain & Glow Studio. With a background in branding and business development, she’s passionate about helping turn great ideas into strong, scalable brands.
